Happy Sunday everyone! This isn’t a fashion post, because I wanted to share with you my thoughts inspired by this picture below: don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
I tend to be an over achiever in whatever I do, because well, I like to impress. Plus who doesn’t like to accomplish?
Being this way allows me to succeed in many things, but there are down sides – I always feel like I could be better and so, I would overlook my accomplishments thinking they are trivial. This slowly made me forget how to be happy over my feats.
I slowly realized that being able to take joy in successes is extremely important, may it be big or small. It’s good to aim high and set standards, but it’s also important to know that there will always be someone better, and you are never going to be perfect because no one is.
So ladies, know your strengths, feel confident, celebrate your accomplishments! Being content with your accomplishment doesn’t mean you’ll stop there. It’s a reward for your efforts, it builds foundation and gives you power to keep going.
Good luck! May your everyday be filled with hope and happiness. ❤
Stay beautiful.
Love, Val ❤
I totally agree… my mantra from last year was “striving for perfection is in vain, instead – succeed in making progress” Great mentality, and you really get more accomplished! Thanks for the reminder, and have a great weekend!
