Why You Should Embrace Vulnerability

“We all build internal sea walls to keep at bay the sadnesses of life and the often overwhelming forces within our minds. In whatever way we do this—through love, work, family, faith, friends, denial, alcohol, drugs, or medication—we build these walls, stone by stone, over a lifetime.”  ― Kay Redfield Jamison We live in a “never enough” culture where we often try to seek more and be more, to mask the insecurities which make us feel vulnerable. As a result, whenever we experience obstacles, we build up emotional walls to protect ourselves from these negative feelings. We’re all raised thinking that being vulnerable is associated with failure, disappointment, and being weak. But is that really the case? Winter & Cool Tones

Among the colors practiced by the street styles of the world, there are two shades that are unusually and consistently styled together: pale pink and grey – a stunning favourite of mine. The two team up to deliver an outfit that is minimalist, sleek, chic, and let’s not forget feminine. Wide-leg Jeans Anyone?

If there is one denim style to try this season, it’s hands down the cropped wide-leg jeans. Wide-leg jeans feature a wide opening from your thighs and down. At a glance they may not look as hot and dainty as skinnys, but they are easily the epitome of casual chic. It takes a shape that is much more forgiving than tapered pants, you’ll especially love how straight and long your legs will look in them. I’m a big fan of matching anything wide-leg with fitted tops to create a flattering silhouette with top-down contrast. Who knew, that the iconic 70’s apparel would make such a strong come back. 8) Thanks for reading lovelies! ❤ Apologies for the poor image quality. The camera sensitivity had to be turned to very high because the shoot was the sunset hour.
