Styling Faux Fur

What comes to mind when you think about wearing fur? I personally think of couture, statement, luxury, and maybe freezing cold, haha. I’ve recently discovered a new found appreciation for it as I looked for winter outfit alternatives. I’ve now officially ventured into the world of faux fur coats and I can’t seem to stop. It’s addictive. I’ve always thought fur coats are very pretty but happily stayed away because I wasn’t sure how to style it without it looking a little “too much”, and that hasn’t changed, I still think it can look excessive, I just no longer have a problem with it. 🙂 Why should you limit yourself from wearing what you feel like on any given day? I’ve picked up this gorgeous fur coat in pink from Shein.com and it’s a great buy, it kept me warm on this zero degree weather and it just looks so chic. It’s on sale so click here to check it out! How to accessorize: Remember, it’s a coat, but it’s also a fancy accessory because of the fur, so you …

Styling Adidas (Pt. I)

Adidas has always been awesome with its legendary classics. But starting a few years ago, they’ve been getting even better. A shift in style that coincided with the 2010 hiring of creative director Dirk Schönberger has made them one of the most popular brands in the world. I too, have been preaching Adidas sneakers, which will soon present themselves on my blog. But for now, I wanted to show you guys the Adidas original printed tee that I got my hands on 🙂 It’s indeed a sports brand, but that doesn’t mean its product can’t be a fashion accessory. I’ve always really liked the Adidas logo design, may it be Original or Performance. I’ve captured another look with the same Adidas tee. For such a versatile piece, I must wear it to my heart’s content. Please stay tuned for Styling Adidas Part II 🙂

Céline Favorites

I present you my current obsession – Céline’s Luggate Tote Mini! I’ve always had a lack of black purses due to my thinking that black bags often hide the detailing of the designs. But if I were to buy any black bag, this would absolutely be it! ❤ The Luggate Tote series came out in 2010, but it didn’t catch the public’s eyes until it was spotted on arms of celebrities. Once it became popular, of course it then became a more exclusive choice and grew considerably in price. Since then, certain styles have been discontinued (i.e. Medium and Shoulder size), but more styles and color combinations have been added to the line. As intimidating as the price tag may seem, it is a stylish and durable product with refined craftsmanship, a worthwhile investment you can proudly add to your designer collections. As much as I love big bags, I believe the Mini size would suffice. But – don’t judge by what it sounds like, it isn’t that “mini” and a size Medium is actually so big! It also comes in smaller scales called …

Fashion Favorites [06/29]

The fashion industry has fast changing dynamics, while we always hold on to our classic pieces, we also develop likes for the most trending products from season to season. Today I am going to share some of the recent fashion favorites with you! Let’s jump into it! ❤ 1) Summer’s almost here! Have you gotten a pair of slides? While we still adore gorgeous stilettos, the minimalism style has really gotten its market share – simple slip-on sandals are EVERYWHERE. It’s perfect for an effortless look on a casual day out. I’d personally go for black sandals for a more chic street feel. In terms of what kind of slides are best for you, I’d say be adventurous and just try something you normally wouldn’t wear! I have a feeling this is going to be a short lived fad, so experience the trend before it goes away! 2) Is that matching wear I see? Heck yeah! At one point I’m sure we all thought matching clothing is a tacky and cheesy concept. But you don’t have to worry about that no more 🙂 You can get with …

Spikes

I’ve never been a girly girl, I even had my tom boy phase in my teens. But growing up I’ve learned to embrace both masculine and feminine styles. Here I’m wearing a dress from F21, which could very well be worn as a top. I loved how simple it looked yet it still grabbed my attention. Although the top is cute, it’s still a bit plain, so I dressed it up by throwing up my good old fedora. Now, the shoes – I got these from Beyond The Rack a couple years back. They are super comfortable and adds a touch of edginess to my outfit. Since the get up is simple and relatively modest, the spikes really spice up the look and make it interesting. I knew fancy accessories won’t do with the outfit, so I  put on some hoop earrings, and a simple bracelet. For my purse, I went with a safe choice of brown faux leather. The color simply goes with everything, and works exceptionally well with outfits consisted of neutral colors. This was a really …

H&M – Stripe & Leather

Hi beautifuls! I present you with a outfit purchased form H&M! Stripey chiffon blouse | $25 Leather pants | $40 Black and white doesn’t get old for me – there are just so many things you can do with these neutral shades! To start with the top – Always have been a fan of chiffon material blouses, but this one is different! I have worn it inside blazers for work & professional settings, and I wear it casually and pull off a chic look, as in these images! Versatility is always what gets me. Now as for the pants – these aren’t expensive, and for the reason that it doesn’t have buttons or zippers and is more like leather leggings, but the material is quite thick and well made, so I’d still think of it as pants.

Barbara Palvin

I recently spotted her 5 seconds scene in the movie Hercules. Barbara Palvin – one of my favorite models. Barbara Palvin was discovered on the streets of Budapest in 2006 at the age of 13. She has been seen on the cover of L’Officiel, Vogue Russia, Glamour Hungary, French Revue, Jalouse Magazine, etc. She has done spreads for Vogue Japan, British Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Russia, Teen Vogue, Love Magazine, Numero, Muse Magazine, W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Blanco Lookbook, etc. Barbara Palvin walked for Prada, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Emanuel Ungaro, Christopher Kane, Julien MacDonald, Jeremy Scott, Vivienne Westwood, Etro, Pedro Lourenco, opened a show for Chanel, etc.

Summer Day

Absolutely gorgeous outfit, matched with uncanny accessories: double lay-up brown leather belt with refined lenient shorts in rosy pink – not your everyday casual match. Up top, a blouse of parallel nature with the shorts, accessorized with a wrap-around knotted scarf – spontaneous and classy.
