The Fashionista Award

Thanks Kate for nominating me for The Fashionista Award ! I am very excited as it is my first time doing this! If you haven’t heard about the award, It’s a list of interview questions to be answered by the nominees and allow fellow bloggers to learn more about us! I will also be nominating my favorite bloggers for the award!

Here goes my share 🙂 –

1) What motivated you to start blogging?

Growing up I’ve always loved to think, my mind doesn’t stop until I’m asleep 😛 I tend to analyze and scrutinize situations, but I find that thinking helps me make better decisions and grow insights. So with all these thoughts in my head, I wished that I could write them down somewhere, like in a diary. But I don’t want my thoughts to stop there on paper – I want to share them with others, hoping to find others like myself, and hoping to inspire.

2) Favorite movies?

Too many – I can get pretty emotional, so I love movies that touch my heart and leave an impression, may it be happy or sad (but with minimum plot holes of course..). On top of my head I can think of [Up In The Air], [The Judge], [The Great Gatsby], [Book of Life], [Age of Adeline].

3) What is you’re dream career?

Hm, must be something like minimum work with great pay! 🙂 OK just kidding – that’ll most certainly get boring. I think my dream career could be anything as long as it’s my own. I like to impress in general, so I’d work hard to gain recognition. But at the end of the day, I’m not working towards something that’s mine. If I have my own business, I can already see myself giving it my best shot, and pulling crazy hours to make it work, it’s certainly not the easy way out, but I know it’ll be worth it.

4) Top wish list items at the moment?

1. Celine Luggage Tote (Mini size in black!)
2. New Ipad!
3. Uhm.. an H&M gift card that never runs out of money? 😛

5) Favorite television shows?

Tough one – I watch a lot of Asian dramas, there’s one called Summer Desire – it’s stayed my #1 favorite for the past 5 years since it came out. Not only does it have a gorgeous cast 😛 the story line was definitely one that touched my heart.

Western TV shows, I don’t watch too many, so I’ll stick with [How I Met Your Mother] and [Gossip Girl]. I know both these shows had weird endings, but all that were leading up were enjoyable 🙂

6) What store do you find yourself shopping in the most?

If you follow my blog posts, you’d know that I love H&M. Recent years H&M has really stepped up in terms of style and quality; their line now consists of several level of affordability. Their recent collaboration with Balmain speaks that fact as well. If there’s one thing I dislike about H&M, it must be how BIG the store is! (same goes for F21) I can never browse through everything in one go!

In terms of accessories, my favorite place would be Dynamite, they have the prettiest necklaces and earrings, at such affordable prices! I just recently went on a spree there!

7) Favorite fashion designers?

I am open and embrace most types of fashion so I do not follow any specific designers – but in general I love the minimalism style designers, and also the inspiring designers for creative lines, i.e. Kate Spade & Ted Baker.

8) Describe your dream vacation?

Sun, breezes, beaches, waves…Paris and Milan, for obvious reasons :-).

9) What are the goals for you’re blog?

Have my outfits be seen, have my opinions be heard, and have my styles inspire. Most importantly, this is a community I love, so I must have fun with it!

10) If you had the opportunity to interview a celebrity, who would it be?

Haha, probably Miley Cyrus! I think she is very pretty, with both long and short hair. She’s been a little crazy since she cut her hair short, and she has a ton of haters for it, so I would love to ask her how she’s dealing with all this pressure while staying true to herself! I think that’s an amazing quality for her to not be influenced when she’s being watched by the big judgmental world.
